Frequently asked questions

How do I sign up as a new patient?

If you would like to become a new patient at Engage Health, please sign up here.

How do I schedule an appointment?

For new patients, please enroll as a member of our clinic and then call us at 480-660-6451 to schedule your first appointment. For existing patients, please call our office to schedule your next appointment.

What is included in my membership?

Our patients pay a monthly fee for their membership, which includes all of their appointments and direct communication with their doctor via phone and email. It also includes EKGs, rapid strep tests, urine dipstick testing, and urine pregnancy testing. In addition, our patients have access to at-cost laboratory testing, at-cost imaging services, and whole-sale medications for an additional fee. Any additional fees will be discussed in detail before any service is provided.

What is NOT included in my membership?

Your membership does NOT include costs associated with specialist care, surgeries, hospitalizations, or emergencies.

Do you accept health insurance?

No, we do not bill or use health insurance at Engage Health.

Should I cancel my insurance plan?

Engage Health offers affordable and high quality primary care that can take care of approximately 80-90% of your medical needs, but it is not a substitute for insurance. If you already have an insurance plan, then we recommend that you keep it or change your coverage to an insurance plan that covers you in case of an unexpected surgery, illness, or accident. If you do not already have insurance coverage, then we recommend that you consider getting “wrap-around coverage” that will help with these unexpected events. However, you are not required to have insurance to be a patient at Engage Health.

What if I decide to cancel my membership?

We understand that your needs can change based on different factors, such as relocating to a different state or encountering unexpected financial constraints. If you need to cancel your membership, we require 30 day notice in writing sent via email to us at info@engagehealthdpc.com. There is no cost to cancel your membership, but if you decide to re-enroll AFTER cancelling your membership, then there will be a $300 re-enrollment fee.

What ages of patients are cared for at Engage Health?

As a family medicine clinic, we are proud to care for patients of all ages, from newborns to older adults, at Engage Health.

Why is direct primary care a good fit for me?

Increased Access to Your Doctor

Direct primary care may be a good fit for you if it’s important for you to have your questions answered and for your doctor to be available when you need them. We offer 30 or 60 minute appointments, during which we are able to focus on your concerns. We typically have same day or next day appointments available for most urgent matters. We are also available by phone or email for questions that can be answered without needing an in-person appointment.

Reduced Expenses

Many of our patients not only enjoy increased access to their doctor but also save money—sometimes hundreds of dollars—by avoiding urgent care and ER visits, and benefiting from no visit copays. Additionally, we offer wholesale rates for labs, imaging, and medications, which are often less expensive than the prices charged by insurance plans for these services.

Improved Continuity

The doctors in the urgent care and emergency room don’t know you and aren’t familiar with your medical history. Seeing your own primary care doctor consistently can be very important in finding the best solutions for your health.

Please email us at info@engagehealthdpc.com if you do not find the answer to your question on this list.
